Antelope Valley Fair Heads Into Its Final Weekend
The fairgrounds in Lancaster stay busy through Sunday with four more days of rides, food and familiar AV tradition

The Antelope Valley Fair is heading into its final weekend, giving local families one more chance to make a fairgrounds run before the gates close Sunday.

The fair continues Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., then shifts to 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster.

For longtime residents, the fair is more than another event on the calendar.

It is one of those classic Antelope Valley traditions that pulls together people from Lancaster, Palmdale, Quartz Hill, Acton, Littlerock and communities across the high desert.

Families can make a full afternoon or evening of it, from carnival rides and fair food to exhibits, vendors and the kind of people-watching that only happens when half the valley seems to show up in the same place.

This weekend is the last window to go in 2026, so anyone who has been saying “we’ll get there later” has officially reached later.

The fairgrounds are located at 2551 W. Avenue H in Lancaster, making it an easy drive from most of the central Antelope Valley.

One practical tip: weekend crowds can build quickly, especially later in the day, so arriving earlier can make parking and getting through the entrance a little easier.

Once inside, the best approach is simple—leave some room in the schedule and wander.

The fair has always been at its best when you discover something you did not plan on seeing, whether that is an exhibit, a local vendor, a ridiculous snack or somebody you have not run into in years.

For the Antelope Valley, fair weekend is part entertainment, part reunion and part reminder that this region still knows how to come together around a homegrown tradition.
